Subscriber cohort analysis

One of the most important ways to analyze your subscribers is longitudinally: how are folks sticking with the newsletter over time? Are new subscribers stickier than old ones, or are they less prone to hang around? The newly launched cohort chart in your Analytics page helps you answer these questions!

Customizing paid newsletters’ free trial experience

If you’re running a paid newsletter on Buttondown, you can now customize the free trial email by changing the subject or body!

What’s on the roadmap?

As always, the public roadmap is the best source of truth, but here’s what I have planned for this month:

  • Internationalization. This is going through QA right now and I’m excited to start the private beta soon!
  • Bug fixes to improve edge cases with dark mode CSS as well as scheduled email suggested times.
  • A better, more prominent approach to images to let you remove EXIF data, thumbnail and optimize images, and more!
  • General performance and stability improvements. (I’ve been seeing more server load and traffic as of late, which is a good problem, but still a problem.)
